Gold Ink
KweeNZ is a sisterhood of like minded performers who predominately reign from Kelston, West Auckland and our ages range from 14 to 25. Reflecting our PI backgrounds we specialise in not only Hip-Hop but also in traditional pacific dance. Performing since late 2010 we have participated at Westfield Style Pasifika Fashion Show, Big Gay Out and Pasifika Festival. Since early 2012 we have joined Phoenix NZYP who have given The KweeNZ a platform to showcase our talents and to fellowship with other youth who accept us as family. United by our common experiences we endeavor to inspire our fellow sisters and brothers in the LGBT community by demonstrating that despite adversity we remain strong.
Gold Ink is a group of performers who personify the kaupapa of Phoenix NZYP. The members of Gold Ink are a part of the leadership team for Phoenix and have a vast range of experience between them.
Gold Ink strive to push the boundaries in the performing arts sector and plan to entertain and engage audiences both nationally and abroad with their unique amalgamation of music, drama and dance.
Take 2 are a duo you need to see and hear to believe. They have their hearts set on blowing your socks off with their unique sound. Originating from the Excel School of Performing Arts they not only improved in their singing and musicianship, they excelled. They also found a common musical interest entertaining people with their acoustic sound. Take 2 are unique as a group as they do not stick to only one genre, but have the ability to perform songs from Jason Mraz to Bob Marley, from Bruno Mars to Jimmy Cliff. Take 2 have been performing covers and originals around Auckland for the last 3 years, and in 2012 these boys continue to push themselves and their musical gifts to see what were once distant dreams become a reality.
